Morgan named District 6-4A MVP

Six Rams earn all-district honors

Mineral Wells High School senior forward Tanner Morgan is the District 6-4A Most Valuable Player.Morgan is one of six members of the Rams basketball team on the 2005 6-4A Coaches All-District team, according to Mineral Wells High School head basketball coach Pat Brown.Morgan, 6-3, paced the Rams in scoring and led Mineral Wells into the state playoffs.Junior post Todd Ball, 6-7, and senior guard Anthony Tam were first-team all-district picks.Todd Ball led Mineral Wells in rebounds and blocked shots while Tam was the team's top defensive player.Sophomore guard Michael Ball and senior post John Dobbs were each second-team all-district picks.Michael Ball led the Rams in steals and assists and ran the Mineral Wells offense from the point-guard position.Dobbs was among the Rams top rebounders and scorers during the district race.Rams junior forward Caden Crawford was an honorable-mention all-district pick.White Settlement Brewer senior guard Phillip Robinson led the district in scoring and is the 6-4A Offensive MVP while the Defensive MVP award went to Cleburne senior Wes Anderson
